ReliaCard is a reloadable prepaid debit card that provides an electronic option for receiving your government agency payments. The card is issued by the U.S. Bank and is reloadable by the concerned government agency. The card usually helps you to receive government unemployment payments. Usually, you have to apply for unemployment benefits to receive the card at your physical address. But where can I withdraw money from my ReliaCard?
Having the card and not knowing how you can get money out of it creates a difficult situation. But since you are here, you will get an opportunity to understand where and how you can withdraw your money from ReliaCard. You will find that the card operates just like other debit cards despite a few differences, and especially how beneficiaries get the card.
You might be wondering what a debit card is. A debit card is a kind of payment card that allows you to use money in your account. It is different from a credit card in that it only allows you to use what is in your account, and once it gets exhausted, the card becomes useless until it has more money. Credit cards help you to borrow money from your card issuer.
How do I get a ReliaCard?
You can get a ReliaCard so long as you have applied to receive the unemployment benefits. Many states allow you to receive the card from the U.S. Bank. The Covid’19 pandemic has created many losses in employment opportunities, and many people have lost their jobs.
It has even been difficult to transfer money to someone else’s bank account, even a single dollar, since bank accounts have run dry. Getting some help from the government remains the only option available to cushion such people from the pangs of hangers. The situation has caused a sharp increase in card applications.
To get started, you need to find out about your state’s unemployment agency application procedure. Most states allow you to apply online on their unemployment agency websites, whereby you have to fill in the necessary details. After approval, the concerned agency then contacts the issuer, which is the U.S. Bank. The bank then mails the card within two days, and you can receive it within ten business days. The long waiting time is due to various logistics that happen in between the delivery time.
Interestingly, you can track your card anytime and see the status of your application. When you use the US Bank, you can check the status of your application here. However, the service is not available for Arkansas unemployment benefits. If by any chance, you feel confused, you can check about your unemployment benefits with your state.
The card comes with other information, which includes;
- Instructions to activate the card
